Sunderland's rising star manager - Mick Mulhern

Mick Mulhern Sunderland manager...We dominated possession and created several opportunities. We had belief that we would score at some point by playing to our strengths. We had to be patient as Birmingham got plenty behind the ball and tried to frustrate us. But our patience paid off and got us the result in the end.

"I'm proud of every single player in the squad today. We haven't played a full, competitive game for over a month and it showed in the first half, but then weremembered what we are capable of doing. It was a well-won victory over tough opposition, and we're all looking forward to the final in February."

"We battled for it today, going to Chelsea is tough at any time but we worked hard and we were pleased with our performance, I thought we matched their work rate today and played some good football at times, it's great to be in a final again and the players are really looking forward to February now.

Leeds Manager Rick Passmoor

We can now concentrate on climbing up the Premier League, playing our games in hand and catching up with the
leaders."

Leeds Winger Sue Smith

"It was vital to get a good result against Bristol after last week's defeat against Sunderland, the league seems a bit more open this year but we have to keep pushing on now and keep the pressure on the leaders.

I thought we played really well and obviously took our chances well, we have to build on this now and get some
consistency."

Arsenal Defender Faye White

"The players were excellent in the first 45 minutes but we struggled to close the game out and credit to Millwall, they didn't give in and really gave us a game.

I thought we deserved the victory overall, but we have to be more professional and take a lesson from this. We are starting to build momentum now and some of the younger players came in yesterday and did well for us."

Everton Manager Mo Marley

"It was a battle today against Millwall, they are a very tough to team to play
against at the moment and we were relieved to get the win, I thought we played well in the first half but we nearly paid for not closing the game out."

"We had a few senior players out for the game and it showed," Marley told evertonfc.com.

"Natasha Dowie is on fire at the minute, she has been outstanding and we struggled without her. But Jess (Holbrook) came on in the second half and did really well.

"I never felt we were going to lose the game, but it was disappointing we didn't build on the first half, where we played really well. In future, we've got to put games like that to bed.”

Everton Striker Jodie Handley

"We are delighted with yesterday's result and the performance against Blackburn. We had an excellent in the first 15 mins before Blackburn came back into it, but the goal before half time was the turning point.

We gave a debut to 16 year old Charlotte Bennett, who was outstanding in the game and Precious Hamilton was also a key figure for us yesterday, it was a good performance."

Doncaster Rovers Belles Manager John Buckley
