U20 2010 The future is now

The draw for the next round of the U20 EURO takes place in November. Nyon, Switzerland on 11 November at 09.30CET All 24 teams will be playing for a chance to make it through to the finals, which England won for the first time this July.

The top teams in the 11 groups are through making 22. Serbia followed as the best third place team in qualifying and Germany are there as they were given a bye by the organisors.

Below is the format of the first qualifying round and the teams that made it through are in red.

If teams are level on points, they are split by (a) points gained in group matches between the teams in question (b) goal difference in group matches between the teams (c) goals scored in group matches between the teams (d) overall goal difference (e) overall goals scored (f) Fairplay ranking (g) drawing of lots. If two teams are dead level before they meet in their last group fixtures and draw to produce a two-way tie, a penalty shoot-out will instead be held should qualification be at stake.
