Sandrine Dusang out of World Cup
Frennch footballgirl Sandrine Dusang will miss the entire World Cup in Germany following a rupture in her knee. This is the second time Dusang will miss a major championship after having a similar injury before the 2009 Champions league and European championship finals in Finland.
She has just helped Lyon to their 5th straight national title but will now miss the crucial semi-final games (9 + 16th April) with Arsenal in the Champions league."It's a hard blow for the national team," said French coach Bruno Bini His squad play Germany, Nigeria and Canada in group A, at the World Cup starting on June 26.
Everyone here at footballgirl is heartbroken for her as she was one of the first players we interviewed 3 years ago. She also graces the wall of our office as part of the French U19 team of 2002.
