The Champions league takes shape this month as the top 32 club teams in Europe play for a place in the grand final in Madrid, Spain.

Knock-out Round
The knock-out competition starts straight away in this new format of the Champions league.
That means whoever scores teh most goals over two games will go through. Of course as with all European football scoring away from home is very, very important.

That means the teams no longer have until the new year to start meeting better teams or play their stronger sides. They also have to be aware of their tactics. Teams with less skillful players may defend at home and attack away so that they can get that important 'away' goal.

Champions away
The Champions of all the 24 top ranked nations are seeded as top. They will be playing away first and at home second. The second placed team in the top 8 leagues are also there making this the best ever European club competition.

..and we cant wait.
