U17 WORLD CUP

 

Beatriz Zaneratto Jao - Brazil

Club Ferroviaria in Sao Paolo msut have been counting their blessings when they first this young girl from around the corner turn up to practice. When that young girl turned out to be Beatriz Jao the whole footballgirl world was happy too.

I saw Beatriz play and I really do hope that she shows the world her skills. Beatriz was one of 3 main stars for me at the South American Championships. Two of her five goals were really, really good leaving my friend to grab my arm screaming “she’s only 14!”.

No matter how well she plays it would be great for the Brazilian Football Association to take care of her and not let her burn out to early. The man who discovered Marta has brought us another gem.

 

 

aLEXANDRA pOPP - Germany

The 17 year old from Duisburg will attack the left wing during these championships. She has played behind and up front in the past year but her best work is done down the left. She has a powerfully built frame which will help her move up to under 19 football next year but for now she is a terror for the defenders of this tournament.

 

 

 

Pauline Crammer - France

The French have a really cool girl in front of goal. Crammer has a high level of technical skill and is a born striker. She does not have an abundance of pace or tricks but it is her movement in and around the box which sets her apart from a majority of the forwards here.
